Personalized, Premium Women's Health Care On Your Terms

For too long, women going through perimenopause and menopause have been told their symptoms are “normal,” “nothing to worry about,” or simply “part of getting older.” And when you’re exhausted, foggy, irritable, or not feeling like yourself, that kind of dismissal can leave you feeling alone and unheard.

You deserve to understand your body, feel heard, and access evidence-based treatments that truly improve your quality of life.
Here at the Westrick Clinic, our NP’s role is to guide you with clarity and compassion so you can reclaim your energy, confidence, and wellbeing. We embrace this stage of life, helping you with the right tools and support.

What You Should Know About Private Primary Care in Alberta

This isn’t about replacing your Alberta Health Care coverage, it’s about enhancing it. Here’s what you need to know:

Legal Considerations

In Alberta, private clinics can offer primary care services outside of the publicly funded system for services that are and are not covered by Alberta Health. (A value add, not a replacement for family doctor.) Our services focus on extended consults, proactive care, wellness services. You are not paying twice, you’re paying for premium access, longer appointment times, and enhanced services.

Informed Consent & Medical Records

As with any healthcare provider, you’ll complete a new patient intake form and informed consent for any treatments. Your records are private and securely stored under Alberta’s Health Information Act (HIA).

Billing Transparency

You will not be billed through Alberta Health Services for these visits. All costs are transparent and discussed upfront. We provide clear receipts, and your payments go directly to the clinic.

Yes! Visiting a private clinic doesn’t affect your eligibility for public healthcare. Many patients choose to supplement their public care with private services.

In many NP-led private clinics like The Westrick Clinic, patients receive ongoing primary care services similar to those of a family physician.
NPs can:

  • Diagnose and treat

  • Prescribe medications (including controlled substances)

  • Order lab/imaging
